セレクトショップ「ネペンテス」によるオリジナルブランド「NEEDLES（ニードルズ）」との初コラボレーションとなるジャケットはその中でもスペシャルなプロジェクトとして展開していた《REBUILD by NEEDLES（リビルド バイ ニードルズ）》によるアイテムを再現した一枚。「過去に大量に作られた物の今の時代に街で着る洋服としては存在しにくい物」古着の中からその様なカテゴライズされたものをピックアップし手の込んだテクニックで再構築させるシリーズです。eYe JUNYA WATANABE MANにおいてはこのプロジェクトで作られた過去のアーカイブよりアイテムをピックアップ。それを当時と同じ様に再現しています。アメリカ軍のM-51と呼ばれる6ポケットのカーゴパンツを複数解体、それらのパーツを使用しジャケットに再構築させるというオリジナルのデザインをもとに、ジュンヤマンにおいてはベースとなる新たなカーゴパンツのパーツを作成、それにユーズド加工を加えて本物の古着の様なテイストを作って同様のデザインを再現するという、こちらも非常に手の込んだ作りとなっています。 The jacket, which is the first collaboration between the select shop Nepenthes and the original brand NEEDLES, is a reproduction of an item from REBUILD by NEEDLES, which was developed as a special project. This series picks up items categorized as "items that were mass-produced in the past but are difficult to find as clothes to wear on the street in this day and age" from vintage clothing and reconstructs them with elaborate techniques. eYe JUNYA WATANABE MAN picked up items from the past archives created by this project and reproduced them exactly as they were at the time. Based on the original design, which disassembled multiple 6-pocket cargo pants called M-51 of the US military and reconstructed them into an MA-1 type jacket using those parts, Junya Man created new cargo pants parts as the base, added used processing to create a taste like real vintage clothing, and reproduced the same design, which is also very elaborately made.
