The bookstore carries tons of books, of course, but also carries stationery supplies, computer accessories, items of clothing such as sweatshirts, jackets, neckties and even some furniture. The bookstore is a little odd but a utility place. The BOOKSTORE offers the goods which you may find in such stores. It is not a real store, but it’s our special project. We are going to make simple and utility items irregularly. アメリカでは、学生生協のことを「ブックストア」と呼ぶ。もちろん、本もそれは大量に売っているのだけど、学校で必要になる文房具や運動着、ブレザー、ネクタイ、ジーンズ、パソコン関連、果てはちょっとした家具まで売っているという不思議でユーティリティな場所だ。The BOOKSTOREは、そんなブックストアに売っていそうな、あるいは売っていたらいいなというアイテムをプロデュースする、実店舗をもたないプロジェクト。みんなの必要に足る程度の、シンプルでユーティリティなアイテムを不定期に展開していくつもり。
